Helping residents improve their credit score.
Every adult in the UK has a credit score. The higher your score, the better deal you’re likely to get on financial products such as mortgages, credit cards and loans.
Social housing tenants often have a limited credit history, which means they tend to have lower credit scores.
We want to help our social housing residents improve their credit score. To do this, we need to share their rent history with Experian*. This will give the credit agencies a more accurate picture of their financial situation and hopefully improve their score.
What you need to do:
If you’re a social housing resident and are happy for us to share this information, then you don’t need to do anything. But if you don’t want your information to be shared, please contact us to opt out.
*Please note that we don't share data with Experian for ex-Catalyst residents as part of the Rental Exchange Programme.
