Damp, mould and condensation: keeping your home cosy and dry

Hand with glove and sponge cleaning

Damp and mould can affect any home, but did you know there’s things you can do to help prevent it?

Dealing with condensation

Condensation starts as moisture in the air. It’s usually caused by cooking, showering or even by drying clothes indoors.

You can help reduce condensation in your home by covering pans when cooking, opening the bathroom window to let steam escape and keeping your radiators clear.

Dehumidifiers can also help keep small spaces dry. You can find them in most shops and online.

Help us help you

We’re working with residents to help keep homes warm and dry. In most cases you don’t need to call us but if the tips we’ve shared aren’t working out, give us a call and we’ll arrange for one of our surveyors to visit your home to investigate the cause of the problem.
