Resident Conference and Impact Report: Your voice matters
We recently held our Resident Conference — a day all about connection, celebration, and listening to your voices.
Published: 25/10/2024
Residents, Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs), and Peabody teams came together to celebrate the positive changes happening across our communities.
Kheron Gilpin, our keynote speaker, brought home the importance of resident engagement. He shared inspiring stories of how residents have been shaping stronger, more connected neighbourhoods. This message set the stage for a day focused on your impact.
Our leadership team answered your questions, discussing local repairs, improving our services, and addressing the issues that matter to you. We also heard from resident leaders, the Resident-Led Panel, and community groups like Williamson Heights’ TRA from Brent and the Parkside Resident Collective from Lewisham. The day ended with an awards ceremony to recognise the incredible work of TRAs and residents who make a difference. Thank you to everyone who joined and shared!
2023-24 Impact Report
Our 2023-24 Resident Engagement Impact Report shows how your voices have driven positive changes across Peabody. This year, many of you joined events, took part in surveys, and attended focus groups to tell us what matters most.
Here’s what we achieved together:
- 86 engagement activities where you shared your views in person and online
- 6,200 visits to The Garden, our online platform, where you shared ideas and concerns
- Resident-Led Co-design Action Group brought five recommendations to life for better resident engagement.
Thanks to your feedback, we held regional events that connected over 300 residents with our teams, set up a Resident-Led Panel to guide services and complaints handling, and made improvements to neighbourhood safety and communication.
One resident from Old Oak said: “Getting involved has shown me how powerful our voices can be. We’re seeing changes in our community.”
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re committed to continuing this work with you — through events, workshops, and new ways to connect. Thank you for being part of the journey and helping to make a positive difference in your communities.
