More affordable homes approved for The Green in Southall

We have been granted planning permission by Ealing Council to build more affordable homes at The Green in Southall.

The plans were bought forward in partnership with the Council which will deliver 564 low carbon homes including 50 per cent affordable homes, new employment opportunities for local residents and spaces for small businesses and local groups.

Regenerating the heart of Southall Opportunity Area

As part of our plans for The Green, the development will include new public spaces for the local community to use to improve their health and wellbeing and create opportunities to socialise. The Green has been designed by leading architects Hunters and is based close to Southall train station, as part of the Southall Opportunity Area.

We are committed to working with Ealing Council and the local community to develop the future of the scheme including consulting on the public spaces and non-residential uses.

Simon Barry, our Regional Development Director said: “We are pleased that our plans have been approved for The Green to become a destination and a home for hundreds of residents.

“The Green will create public spaces for new and existing residents to live and socialise, whilst connecting them to green space and providing new jobs. “We are looking forward to continue working with Ealing Council, the local businesses, community groups and local residents to transform the town centre at The Green.”

The Green will reaffirm our commitment to Ealing where it owns 598 homes including Goldsmiths Close, Prideaux Place, Rosebank Works and Ternary Place.
