Residents collaborate to build planter
Published: 30/11/2020
Chelsea and Wellington Gardens residents recently got together to build a new planter on the estate. Improvising with some recycled bricks, they took a day and a half to build the planter while keeping socially distanced. Other residents stopped by to offer encouragement while the work was going on.
Next spring, the planter will be the permanent home of a bushy plant which has been nurtured back to health.
Everyone is very pleased with the results. "All done for under £20 (sand and cement), enthusiastic residents and lots of positivity," says Samia, who lives on the estate.
