The Kerslake Award offers £40,000 in grants to support community projects and activities, in memory of our late Chair, Lord Bob Kerslake.
Lord Kerslake worked tirelessly to improve people's lives and the fund honours his passion to support communities and make a positive impact. From community clubs to exercise workshops and one-off community events, these local projects have been awarded up to £2,000 each and each will make a real difference in local communities.
36 inspiring applications
This year’s funding round saw 36 applications, each showcasing incredible ideas and a dedication to making a difference. The 12 successful projects were selected for their potential to create lasting benefits and align with the core values of the Kerslake Fund.
Next year’s funding opportunities
For those whose projects weren’t funded this time, detailed feedback will be shared to support future applications. The next Kerslake Award funding round will open in April 2025, with another £20,000 available.
In addition to project grants, the Kerslake Bursary Fund launches in 2025, providing £10,000 to support Peabody residents aged 16–24 in further education, training, or work experience.
