National Carers Week
A time to acknowledge the hard work done by all carers
Published: 08/06/2020
National Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring. It highlights the challenges unpaid carers face and recognises the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
This year we're supporting Harry’s Pledge, which has been launched to show how housing providers can support those who need and provide care. Read more about Harry’s pledge
Moira Griffiths, Peabody's Director of Care and Support said:
"At Peabody we are backing this campaign and would like to show all our support to staff, customers and residents who provide care and kindness to someone close to them. As a family carer myself I know that there are emotional and physical challenges as well as many rewards. Harry's campaign is calling for actions which would help carers to continue their vital support. The pandemic has shone a spotlight on the role of carers both paid and unpaid we should do what we can to assist in very practical and emotional ways."
